Hi there, I'm A.J. Neufeld, currently a BSc student studying Computer Science at MacEwan University. I'm specializing in Systems and Information Security with minors in Digital Experience Design and Psychology. I also hold a BA in English with a minor in Spanish.
I came to software from a language and research background, and that genuinely shapes how I work. I care about building intuitive and accessible systems. I start with users and personas before I design for them. I think carefully about information architecture, and accessible markup is important to me because I've seen what inaccessible interfaces mean for the people who depend on them.
On teams I tend to fill gaps: infrastructure setup, documentation, research, and the cross-functional problems that block teammates from doing their best. I've helped ship a live product to TestFlight, rebuilt a broken admin portal in a week under deadline pressure, and contributed to over 300 pages of developer documentation in Confluence alongside building features.
